I know, I know. It's just... for the best. The story feels totally right and complete without him--everything culminated in him just becoming this unnecessary intermediary step. Essentially, he just held information back from the characters that they were already going to find out, and having them find it out themselves directly actually works much MUCH better.
It's hard when you have to delete a character, but this was definitely for the best. Bye, Mr. Nakamura.
